Pro tips

  1. If your site supports multiple languages, I recommend using this tool separately for each language.
  2. For websites generating over 200,000 monthly visits, apply a filter to the exported keywords to include only those with at least 5 impressions per keyword. For larger sites, you may need an even higher threshold.
  3. Experiment with different filters to achieve the best results. To identify urgent cases of keyword cannibalization, export keywords that have generated at least a few clicks. For less urgent cases, export keywords with only a few impressions.

How to Export Input Data from Looker Studio

To gather all the keywords your website ranks for, follow these steps:

  1. Access Looker Studio: https://lookerstudio.google.com/
  2. Click on "Create new report".
    3. Create new report in Looker Studio
  3. In the search bar, type "Search Console" and select it.
    4. Select Search Console
  4. Choose the domain you want to analyze. Then, select "URL Impression" and "Web". Click "Add".
    5. Select proper domain
  5. In the Dimension section, include "Landing Page" and "Query". Remove any other values.
    6. Select dimension values
  6. Scroll down to the date range section and select the range you want to analyze.
    7. Select date range
  7. Click on the three dots above the table and choose "Export".
    8. Export data
  8. Open the exported Excel file and copy the URLs and queries. Ensure the values are separated by a semicolon (;).
